Khanani, Kalia remand extended

KARACHI: The local court here has allowed further FIA remand of the accused in the case of illegal transfer of money abroad, Munaf Kalia and Javed Khanani until December 3.

FIA made a plea further remand, when the two accused this morning were presented in the court, saying that the FIA has not yet completed its investigation and the accused were needed for further interrogation, following the unearthing of foreign accounts.

The lawyer of the accused, Hassan Sabir opposing any further demand said that FIA has claimed collecting many documents relating to this case and the accused during the hearing could be further questioned by presenting these documents. However, the court after hearing the two lawyers extended the remand until December 3.
