SRINAGAR: Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday demanded that Pakistan take steps to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure on its territory rather than giving mere assurances.
“Words must be followed by action,” he said at a press conference here. He said evidence was shared with Pakistan and now it should act. Mukherjee said that sanctuaries of terrorists should be dismantled. He said Mumbai attacks were not linked to the ongoing liberation struggle in held Kashmir.
His tough words come in the wake of the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai in which more than 170 people were killed. India has blamed elements in Pakistan for the attacks.
