Top military brass discuss security situation
RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan army and airforce have decided to have better coordination and integration in on going operations against militants and in case of any eventuality from the eastern borders.
The decision was taken during a high-level meeting held at military headquarters with Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani in the chair.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman also attended the conference on special invitation along with other top brass of the airforce and assured all out air support to the army in its military operations against militants.
The conference also deliberated upon the recent threats from the Indian Army Chief and expressed their strong resolve to confront aggression made against Pakistan.
Later on Gen Kayani met President Zardari at the Presidency and apprised him of the professional preparedness of the armed forces.
The Army Chief also briefed the president about the success of the security forces in its fight against militants. The decision was taken in a high level meeting held at the military headquarters. -DawnNews
