ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Sports on Friday summoned the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, team coach and manager after the national team’s poor performance in Australia.
The decision was taken during a meeting held at parliament house, with Senator Jamshed Dasti in chair.
Showing displeasure over the two Test losses, the committee decided to question the team management and the PCB chief.
The committee also showed dissatisfaction over the board’s management and has asked President Asif Ali Zardari to remove Chairman Ijaz Butt.
Meanwhile Secretary Establishment Division Ismail Qureshi informed the committee that the Punjab government has been requested to submit an inquiry report of the attack on the Sri Lankan team. —DawnNews
