While addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Army Medical College, Gilani said that the doctor-patient ratio in the country is not encouraging and urged health professionals to take this up as a challenge to uplift the medical field. The prime minister announced a package of 100 million rupees for the institute and reiterated the government’s efforts for the health sector. The medical college has been built in three years at a cost of one billion rupees and can provide hostel facilities for 348 students. —DawnNews
