ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Friday directed the government to submit a concise statement regarding the judges’ appointment issue on the case’s next hearing.
The court adjourned the case until February 18, when the government will be required to submit its statement.
The Supreme Court also issued notices to the Attorney-General and four Advocate-Generals.
Advocate Akram Sheikh, the lawyer for the main petitioner, said that as the government had rejected the appointment of judges recommended by the Supreme Court, it was the people who were suffering as a result. — DawnNews
