PESHAWAR: Security forces arrested a key suspect along with an accomplice involved in Shah Hassan Khel suicide attack in Lakki Marwat District, which left more than one hundred villagers dead.
Official sources said the explosive expert Qari Farman, who was fleeing from Lakki Marwat wearing a burqa, was arrested from Adamzai area on Monday.
Officials accused him of arranging explosives and preparing the suicide car for the attack, and added that he was also involved in an attack on the distirct Nazim in the past.
The local police did not comment on the arrest but sources said the suspect has been shifted to an unknown place for interrogation.
Shah Hassan Khel village had been targeted by the militants for preparing lashkars and fighting the militants. According to the lashkar chief Mushatq Marwat, they had been receiving threats from the militants in the North Waziristan agency.
Sources also believe the real master minds of the attack Qari Manwar and Ashraf, are based in North Waziristan Agency.
